hey guys! We did something similar with Beatles and Stones and it was a funny thread... now the question is which of this two bands you prefer and why...

Haha, that's a great comparison, and also excellent comparison compared to that another comparison (if that makes sense tongue.gif smile.gif )

Maidens for me, but Judas is just awesome too! smile.gif

OMG, the question that you're not allowed to ask has been asked ! tongue.gif

Well, I'm being entirely truthful when I say that they have both superseded each other's musical output at different times in their career. Maiden is just great, honest music.. and Priest fly the flag for all that is associated with metal and have always done so wheras Maiden have never really embraced the term 'metal' and considered themselves heavy rock.. I can't choose. They both provide a different sort of satisfaction cool.gif

Judas Priest, I really like Iron Maiden too, but I just prefer the guitar style Judas Priest uses a little bit more than the one Iron Maiden uses tongue.gif, thoes powerish speed metal solos are just awesome!

I love painkiller, but I used to be more of a maiden head. One of my favorites is Infinite Dreams!

I don't like much that industrial Priest metal, so my vote goes to Maiden smile.gif

Great feedback guys! I like Judas Priest but I love Maiden. I like many songs from Judas but I like maaany albums from Maiden. My heart is with the irons but I know that Judas Priest has been as important as Maiden for the Metal Genre. So thanks both for existing! smile.gif

I love both, but if I have to pick, Maiden!
Why? Because it's more controlled and better singer/lyrics... plus it's a easy and fun song to play and follow so long your got down the gallop tongue.gif

For the most, both bands older work. Maidens first couple records with Paul Di'Anno, also Number of the Beast and Piece of mind.
Powerslave probably has more turns on the plate than any other of my LP's. Came out around when I turned 14 when music played a huge part of my life.
Judas has more older records. the 70's and 80's are completely different. Most pieces of gold up to Defenders of the Faith. In the 90's with Painkiller they took a turn for the worse.

Got to say Maiden though, they kept it rolling throughout the years, Somewhere in Time has a tremendous cozy-factor to it. Something they've kept up til now even thoug I listen to the old albums the most.

Looks like I'm stuck somewhere in the 70/80's ...
