Very true, extensive gear knowledge is always welcomed, so players can combine different kind of gear, to make their own signature gear and tone.

I absolutely agree, as a beginner you don't have to spend a fortune on expensive equipment, but the better your playing will get the more you will be looking for a good tone, therefor you should always have an eye on your gear.
