Here is the final mix of MentholWhore video collaboration
Thanx a lot to Monica, Patrik and Unleech for making this happen. All of You have different styles and I think this makes the collab very interesting.
Now time for some feedback:
1. Monica - very good sense of melody and nice tone. You were afraid You won't handle the style of track but You did it great! It's not always about some fancy technical stuff. Your phrasing is worth much more than tons of licks that everyone already heard milion times 
We have to fix Your picking hand (the way You grab the pick) so You'll be able to play some harder things too. I love that kind of vocal-like solo treatments
2. Darius - learn how to play duuuude!
3. Patrik - some very cool stuff directly from the blues and metal roots! Nice support for the backing guitars. You nailed it at the key moments! Your solo probably fits the metalcore style most of us all 
Good usage of phrygian mode at the point where it could fit. Also love the "good old blues lick" at the beginning of the chorus .The only thing I would fix is to lower the gain a bit and hide the mids so You have some more treble. It's very important when You listen on different speakers types. When guitar tone is focused only on the middle, than You will feel the most differences in volume on different audio set up's
4. Unleech - You put some nice work to it! Well played and nice technique. It defenetly brings something cool to the collab. Also like the tone and stereo guitars concept. Only thing I would change is to develope the ending part...I mean there was some headroom for adding some more different things like one more "center guitar take" with melody. It sounded like a good shredding background for a main melody. Anyway thank You soo much for taking the time and giving Your cool approach to this collab You did a great job!

I really enjoyed to watch this video. It was very fun, in the typical style of Darek You work a lot to make this video collab but in the end came out very cool. You, Patrik and Unleech , are very talented players and I'm very happy that I was a part of this project. I really thank you Darek, for you convince me to join in

I really thank you Darek, for you convince me to join in I took me more time to convince You than the whole collab mix

Monica, I liked very much how your tone gets blended in without being muffled behind the other instruments, may I ask how you achieve that tone?
Patrik your fingers can get faster than a computer sometimes
Unleech you've got some killer dexterity in your fingers And great production quality man
Even though it was four musicians only, I think this was the most "different" kind of collab mix I've ever seen here

That's easy - buy some good lights and dslr camera...and...spend some hours on finding the good set-up

I'm really obsessed to find the perfect tone.To be honest, I spend more time to find the tone, than do improvisation. I made this preset in Guitar Rig. Small amount of distortion ( I'm not able now, to play with more distortion because my palm mutting it's faraway from me
), vintage reverb, pshychedelay. But most important for me, the tone must sound very warm and with a open sound not clogged and dry.

That's easy - buy some good lights and dslr camera...and...spend some hours on finding the good set-up Hah I have lights, but no DSLR

Just wow! That was funny and highly inspirational. When I first heard the backing for this collab I thought - OK, that's from Darius' Level 5 Metalcore-Lesson, I'm out.. but now, when I hear Monicas great melodic lines played over it - that was just awesome!

It's great that You decided to share Your thoughts because You've pointed a problem I would never figure it out. Collaborations are not same as learning lesson. You have a right to add anything You like !
There are no limitations and demandings od skills Next time just contact us and add Your take including playing You feel comfortable with Just came back from my mountain trip and what a fine inspiration to get back to guitar

You're right Pat! We have to clear some things that might seem obvious for instructor and not so obvious for the students. Collabs have no "level" limitations It's all about having some fun together

as it's not my first collab here on gmc. I just wanted to point out, that I wasn't aware of playing like Monica did especially with this backing. For me it was obvious when I heard the backing, that I needed to play something quite fast like you, Patrik and Unleech did - Monica showed, that it's not! I enjoyed her playing (as the others of course, too) over this backing very much and I'm keeping that in mind for the next collabs regardless of the backing bpm..Thanks

She need some support Youtube trolls are a big pain and their comments fortunately have nothing to do with reality, they are just reflections of insecure and often very jealous people. If you are getting troll comments, it means you are doing something right (just check out my vids haha).
Nevertheless we have removed the comments as this collab was certainly not meant to be an Internet survival course. Just let us know if you spot anything else and we will remove asap.
I'm off to check the collab video again

YouTube is unfortunately full of Guitar trolling 'experts'. Even the guitar greats get slagged off. The trolls never have videos of their own.

The funny thing - I never seen skilled guitar player writting on some beginner's video that he sucks....how "funny" is that ? But...well...so many teenagers with no expirience an not even single video with their playing feel able to judge anything
