Posted by: Gabriel Leopardi Jan 2 2013, 05:17 PM

Hey guys! We talked many times about Justin Bieber but this time we will talk about a metal band that is very polemic... their name is Dragonforce and they have lots of lovers and haters... Which is your side?? Why?

This one has more than 50 million views! that's awesome for a power metal band!

I enjoy it, but it sounds like shit live, I think,
at least all the live performances found on youtube.

Why I enjoy it: because of the good energy!

I saw them live 2005 in Graz with Iron Maiden and although the had not the best sound they were quite entertaining..
I used to listen to them but I canĀ“t listen to more then three songs in a row...
and I likr their song "cry thunder"...
so now and then in small protions they are cool

I like all forms of guitar mastery, even if it's not so melodic... it can be entertaining though I agree with the other fellas... I wouldn't be able to sit and listen to very many songs, and actually probably not listen any on the radio. However I like watching Herman play his guitar. Who says lightning don't strike twice in the same place?

I think it's fun, I don't take it too seriously, and I've heard many guitarists slag them off for having sloppy technique, but they're much better than me, so I can't judge.

I like the fact that they're unafraid to be themselves in the face of criticism and they do seem really fun. I couldn't handle too much of their music because it does sound way too similar but well done to them smile.gif

I count myself a fan smile.gif Despite all the haters, I appreciate the musicianship in the band. I do agree that their live show is mostly about flash and energy and that they miss more notes than they hit much of the time. That being said, they are MUCH more fun to watch live than many bands who admittedly play quite better. Watching master musicians shoe gaze just to hit their scales is a tad boring live IMHO (but to each his own) and can be done from home.

Definately, watching these guys play is the whole fun of it. I would consider myself a Slash fan as well, though he would make a great statue! However, that's not meant to be judgemental... just an observation. They are famous and can out play me but I honestly like to watch all forms of musical instruments being played. How can you truly judge ability when it's the expression and feeling that counts most and if that is being put into the playing then it's all good no matter what my ear tells me.

I am up with Ben! the songs sound very similar with each other laugh.gif, i would probably get tired after some listening, but i don't hate them.

I'm not a hater, but I don't like this kind of music. The guitar player is a bit too much on the shred side, I should say. I used to listen to bands like this when I was a teenager, but not nowadays...

too fast for me to appreciate. weak bends take away any passion that might otherwise revive any love lost.

I've seen them live a couple of times and there's no doubting that they are entertaining. Also, there's no taking away the fact that they have technique (sloppy or not) and are able to play.
It does get a bit too similar for my ears!
