~Seeking Forgiveness~

Desert warriors
Who walk the sea of sands
Liberation of our souls
Cleanse us in the dryness of the heat

Upon his earthly altar, he admires the sky
What became of him? Such unquestioned hatred
He glances once more, to those stars dotting the sky
There holy starlight, Relieve the burning pain

Forever cursed, To walk an endless journey
Forever born, To suffer the sins of the past
His war against the peaceful, the mighty
The downfall of him, and his suffering people

In The Sea Of Sand
Out here he seeks redemption

“Biting winds, and a pale green moon
All that’s left of our home, What my unholy crusade has done
Crushed to bits by the immortal eye
The Eye Of God, Does curse me
And I shall gladly take my burns and repent”

The sky split open
Churning the flames of the god
From clear blue to hellish red
The fire spit forth, Scorching more than just the skin
The memory of the final moment, Of his final battle
As clear as the waters of the north
Burrowing in his mind, Brooding deep within

His soul felt pain
To be shunned, Put aside, Cast away
But if this there wish
Then he shall heed it, With no question
If he could just take it all back
Never bring up his sword
He could finally, rightfully and just fully
Seek there forgiveness

“In The Sea Of Sand
Could I ever find the road to ascension?”

~The Blood On My Hands~

“So we suffer
Another year of repentance
Another year of nothing
But being too dry to bring out the tears
Can I really ask for anything better?”

Across the sands, A caravan of leather like skin
Walks ominously at a horizon that never greets them
The sun burns so deep, Deeper that it ever has before
Yet all walk with persistence, They will show there hearts
Unless it comes to it, They will gladly accept death

“The Unforgiving Heat, This Unrelenting Guilt
Is like a cancer that has invaded my people
All for my damned, cursed war
It is all my fault
Every death
Every drop of blood
Every mother without a son

Are on no ones hands but mine...”

Lying in the oasis, Wrists open with a new resolve
Crimsons epiphany, This man lets the sin flow from him
Water to red, and his burden gets lighter
He will take this punishment, Because nothing else does he deserve

And the horizon got closer
And the sun got cooler
And there shoulders felt lighter

In The Sea Of Sand
He found his redemption

Ok, well basically, this is a song based off a character in a book I read, Just based off though. After he loses a massive crusade against a certain people, He is left with nothing but massive burns, and the reminder of how he faltered. Seeing his loss as a sign of the gods displeasure with him, Him and his people walk the desert, never going anywhere, wandering forever. One day, he cant accept that his people suffer because of JUST him, so while passing by an oasis, he commits suicide, and his people begin getting closer to the horizon that never came near them, and there guilt begins to be relieved.
