Hi Nuzzpowa!! Welcome to your Gab's Army thread!!

Could you please tell me a bit about you, your musical tastes, influences, strengths and weaknesses? I would need some videos of you playing rhythm and solo guitar, so please post your best material here. If you have some music or ideas of your own, also post them here. Also let me know how you think that I can help you and what are your expectations for our job. You can check the other Army's thread to discover the different modalities of this project.

The principles of our Army are:

+ Improve your technique
+ Make music and solos
+ Have fun
+ Destroy the enemy (hahaha not realy just kidding... )

Hi there!

Sorry for not writing before, I was on holiday for two weeks... Ye, two weeks without a guitar =(
So, to start with I have an Ibanez RG548, which I really like) and I have a roland micro cube which is quite shitty. I just didn't want to buy any serious gear cause I live here only till august-september.

I've been playing guitar for about three years, not really serious, usually just taking anything I listen to and trying it out. I definetly lack theory and improvising skills as well as proper solo expression techniques. I guess it's a good point to start with.
Developing speed is another thing I'd want to focus at, but this can wait a bit. The target here is to be able to shred passages like 120bpm 16-triplets

I will try to get a camera to record something this week, as my laptop's builtin webcam refuses to work with the DAW recording at the background.

Oh, and about tastes)
I love instrumental rock, like Vinni Moore, Joe Satriani, etc
I like metalcore, death metal, bands like Dark Tranquillity and Trivium are among my favourite.
I also listen to some power metal like Helloween, Firewind, Gamma Ray, Hammerfall.
Well, actually I am open to experiment and I don't want to stick to any particular genre.

That's it, I'm ready to start taking over the world))

Hi mate! I remember your REC take! We have many things to work on! That lesson need some work but I will first give you some exercises that will help you to master it.

Let's work on this two lessons:

and on the exercises number 1 (bending) of this video:

Work on this exercises the whole week and please post a video of you playing them.

Finally I would like you to choose a Collaboration to join. The idea is that you start working on 1 or 2 collabs per month to train your improvisation and solo composition. Let me know which one you choose and please post your demos or ideas here to let me give you feedback about it.

That's all! Tell me what you think! smile.gif
