discuss. greatest wah riff ever? can it be topped? it just gives me a head trip hearing it. -------------------- What did you learn tonight? while shouting so loud, you barely joyous, broken thing. You are a voice that never sings, is what i say. You are freezing over hell You are bringing on that end you do so well and you can only blame yourself, is what is say. |

I've always loved the wah usage on Love Thing. A great use of wah to enhance a ballad.

Great tune, whammy use is very original and great, great sound, and interesting performance. But a little sterile.

I love everything Satriani has ever done.. (The Surfing with the Alien and The Extremist material is still the top of the bunch though), but this is marvellous. The whammy part in the last minutes is beautiful

Dang. After some more listening

Dang. After some more listening https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAalYg53V30...feature=related His personal best on youtube imo. My favorite album of him is probably super colossal, surfing with the alien, then the extremist for sure. That is also one of my favorites. But hey, check this one out. I dug a little deeper. http://youtube.com/watch?v=P_ehgqgxxIE Very fun blues jam I think you will enjoy. Cheers, Jeff -------------------- "Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato
