Hello, I want to know more about the "pickup switch". I mean, what kind of sounds you get from different combinations, like only using the humbucker near the bridge etc. On my guitar I have two humbuckers and one single coil in the middle. From what I've experienced you get a pretty bright metal sound when you only use the two humbuckers near the bridge and I've seen that some use the ones near the neck when soloing. (I have a 5 way switch).

Well the 5way switch gives you bigger versatility.
1st position( hum bridge ) gives you treble sound, and a fat big tone of hum.
2nd position(usually splitted single from bridge hum and a middle single combined, but can be hum-midsingle too sometimes) this gives you that "The Shadows" sound, trebly glassy strat like position.
3rd position (middle pickup) this is a classic single pickup sound. well rounded, trebly and glassy, something like 2nd, but more output and more defined and more presence.
4th position (middle-splitted single from neck hum, or middle-neck hum), gentle deep sound, similar to that on 2nd, but more in the lowmids-mids and also twangy and strat-like. think "Dire Straits"
5th position (neck hum), well defined, bassy hum sound, suitable for riffs, but also for warm leads.
These are just general ideas for positions, off course there are pletny of combinations available for experimenting.
Thanx for the answer man!
I play a Godin exit 22, and you just described my guitar switches setup perfectly. Nice reply.
Also, when are you going to tell me what kind of guitar that is your playing Milenkovic Ivan. The telecaster looking one.
It is a Peavey Generation EXP with ACM. You can find my review of it http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=8829.
Hope that helps. If you have some further questions, fell free to post them. Keep rockin'
