I remember how difficult it was to find rare albums, first demos, live versions of my favorite bands when I was a teenager. Now you just write the name of the band and you can hear everything. I remember that I had this album in cassete and it was like a treassure for me...
Yngwie Malmsteen's first band when he was around 15... Today I found Helloween's first EP. -------------------- My lessons

Yep, youtube is great for finding music/videos/whatever you like! I remember when it started, it was a real tumbleweed fest for a while

I know right? Remember back in the day trying to trade cds and even tapes of obscure bands that you just couldn't find in stores? It was fun in it's own way in that you really had to want it and it was great to discover music before anyone had heard of it. But yeah, I'm glad that now we have youtube It's just makes it so much easier to discover new music.
Speaking of OOOOOLLLLDD music, here is a semi recent vid of ATHEIST (with my bud Steve Flynn on Drums), and the guy playing lead guitar (the guy on Dimebag Guitar) was in a local band here called GHOST STORY that were sorta local legends in the underground scene here years ago. It's such a small scene here that It seems I know all the other guitar players in town and have played with most of them. Small world!! Here is chris on metal archives. http://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Chris_Baker/12955 Here is the UNQUESTIONABLE PRESENCE played at the scion music fest. KEEL!! That takes me back Here was their beig "Power Ballad" every 80s cliche in one vid.[ the singer from steeler went on to form his own band, We used to go see them all around LA, big time 80's hair band |
