that seems like a fairly easy to use interface. You made sure you installed the drivers for it?
it has MIDI, that's great, you can do a lot with that your CUBASE has to recognize the interface. Try re-installing the drivers and restarting the program -------------------- Visit my:

For the decent sound I recommend using some software modelers for guitar in form of VST plugin. There are tons of free ones, but the best ones are commercial ones: Guitar Rig, Amplitube Fender, Vintage Amp Room etc..
