Hey guys! biggrin.gif

Well, i have a kind of new guitar (its like 1,5 months or something) but i have little problems when i am playing the lower frets (when soloing)..

It sounds amazing really, its a Schecter Hellraiser diamond series, but when i am playing down there, it sound little out of tune even if the guitar is tuned alright. It sounds really great when you play normal chords or playing solo higher (to the head)

So my question is, is there something i can do about it? Can i go to the store and let them fix it? It sounds like a problem i must serve to fix. I have 3 free months service on my guitar smile.gif What feels good ^^ the guitar was very expensive... so it must work somehow ^^ 13000 SEK or like 1350 euro.

Thank you for reading!

Sincerely,
Charlie Karlgren.

Some possibilities:

- Wrong Intonation, check if you get the the exact same note on the open string and then on the 12th fret... you might need a setup, the saddles need to be moved

- Bowed neck, another intonation problem caused by an excessive neck bow, truss rod adjustment might be needed; worst case scenario: your neck is warped

- Badly placed frets, afterall your guitar was made in Korea and there is the (small) possibility that your frets aren't glued in right causing your problem

It's probably the intonation though, and if that's the case, a technician can easily sort that out. I recommend that you take the guitar to a professional if you don't want to mess with the bridge (or if it turns out to be a bowed neck that's guilty).

Is it the intonation? If so, you should at least try to intonate your guitar yourself. It's not that difficult and you'll save some money. wink.gif
