Ma favorite player is Jimmy Page and favorite song is hard to pick Also my favorite . There are guys who developed technique more than him, but he's still my favorite. I just can't get enough of listening to Led Zeppelin. Then, a question: How do you compose your solos? -------------------- my "Thank you GMC!" video

Hi Emire...from which city block are you from in Tuzla? Irac *Ring Ring* Hello, I'd like to order a double Pepperoni with extra Spicy Beef please!!!! That sounds good Is your favorite player really Jimmy Page????? That is very surprising to me....... Yes, since I heard Whole Lotta Love solo Then, a question: How do you compose your solos? I've been asked the same question by intemperateControl on PM. This was my reply: "I don't really know how I can explain "music" to you. That's a wide term and we all have some individual kind of creativity. My influences used to be famous rock bands from 70's and 80's. The key in my compositional skills is following and modernizing what my influences used to play. I was listening music non-stop and just tried hard to become and sound like some of my greatest bands. I don't listen to music now a days as I am very busy but all that rock vibe remained in my heart and my music is just the story how I feel about it. For me the real artist is the one who can make you feel the way he felt when he got idea for his product. If he cried when he was composing and if he makes you cry when you're listening then he did a great job. That can be anything from painting, writing books, composing music... I have never made a song based on music theory and some other common rules in music. It was always about how I felt and what sounded good to me. When I mix my techniques and make my arrangements the way I like that reflects what I feel, not what I learned at school. So my advice is that you listen to bands you want to become like and follow their way. Eventualy you will find that there is yourself in all what you have composed, not just a copy. Every musician sounds different because we all feel things different. You can hear a lot of Yngwie stuff in my music but there is also Emir which is better than just a copy. It all takes time but I don't know a person who didn't make it if he really seriously went for it." -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Great response, Emir. I'm the guy who's been struggling with those speedy runs on your Rock Ballad. You told me to make sure I was using your exact fingering. I was a bad student - I resisted for a while, and stalled. But, alas, the past couple of weeks I decided to take your advice and work on those fingerings, and I'm suddenly making progress. Just wanted you to know and to thank you. Once I nail it I will post a vid. My goal is to have it before 2010. Thanks again - you're an inspiration! -Kizaze I'd be very happy to see you playing that one Please inform me once you post it in case I miss the thread. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
