This was my reply: "I don't really know how I can explain "music" to you. That's a wide term and we all have some individual kind of creativity. My influences used to be famous rock bands from 70's and 80's. The key in my compositional skills is following and modernizing what my influences used to play. I was listening music non-stop and just tried hard to become and sound like some of my greatest bands. I don't listen to music now a days as I am very busy but all that rock vibe remained in my heart and my music is just the story how I feel about it. For me the real artist is the one who can make you feel the way he felt when he got idea for his product. If he cried when he was composing and if he makes you cry when you're listening then he did a great job. That can be anything from painting, writing books, composing music... I have never made a song based on music theory and some other common rules in music. It was always about how I felt and what sounded good to me. When I mix my techniques and make my arrangements the way I like that reflects what I feel, not what I learned at school. So my advice is that you listen to bands you want to become like and follow their way. Eventualy you will find that there is yourself in all what you have composed, not just a copy. Every musician sounds different because we all feel things different. You can hear a lot of Yngwie stuff in my music but there is also Emir which is better than just a copy.
