GMC Forum _ Gabriel Leopardi _ Backing Track

Posted by: kevvyg Feb 16 2010, 05:45 PM

Hi Gabriel, could you let me have a full speed backing track for your ACDC highway to hell lesson in normal tuning?
(I'll have a go at the lesson with the strings tuned down as well!!)

Thanks, Kevin

ps. I have a KORG Guitar/Bass Tuner (GA-30). How would I use it to tune the strings down half a semitone? Unfortunately, I've mislaid the manual! There is a button on the tuner labelled 'flat', which, when pressed displays a 'b' on the screen. Multiple presses brings up 2 'b's, then 3 'b's, up to 5 'b's. I'm assuming that if I have one 'b' displayed, and tune the strings to the middle of the scale where I get a green light, I'm a semitone flat of the normal tuning. Any ideas?!!

Thanks again!!

Hi Kevin! Unfortunately we can't provide famous songs backing. sad.gif
Regarding the tuner it seams that if you set it in "b" you'll get the tuning that you are looking for.

Just go to youtube and type in the song you want followed by backing track. You can use various other sites to rip the track to mp3 or mp4.
If you search for guitar backing tracks in google, there are sites that have them for free.

Thanks guys - I've sorted the tuner!
And I think I'll just record Highway to hell with the dropped tuning!!
