I got a link to this pedal from a friend, who had just bought it.Check it out !
I have this pedal. It's a good distortion sound as is, and I find it really works well for using in conjunction with digital multi-FX or direct-to-computer recording where the signal is going to be shaped with amp modelling software. This gives that tubey feel to the signal so the final sound isn't as digital and sterile.
It has a cool tone! There is a mesa boogie pedal that looks similar and that has also a good tube distortion.
I used it in studio, it's OK distortion for a pedal, specially if you have good clean amp.
I'd say the Mesa Boogie V-Twin sounds better than the HT-Dual but it also costs more.
