Just a little post to greet everyone at GMC and express my gratitude towards the founders of this incredible site.
I'm a 30 years old guitarist and a member of a local Metal band called XTRUNK (you can check out our myspace if you wish : myspace.com/xtrunk).
My goal here is to really improve my guitar playing and to obtain the necessary tools in getting serious about it. I've been playing for 13 years now but i only practised seriously during the first 4 years. So here i am trying to catch up with that time loss with this site. Again, thanks for this brilliant study platform!! My only problem is where do I start with so many lessons lol.

Welcome to GMC John!

I've checked your myspace page and i must say it's very cool! I'm still listening to the tracks right now... It's great to see you have so many upcoming shows in May smile.gif

For starters you can use the lesson plan on the main page. You can choose levels, styles, genres for lessons. Ask if you need anything.

Welcome John,

I am quite a recent member as well, and you can trust me when I say this site does wonders !

A very useful way of playing in a planned manner, would be to choose one or two techniques that you would like to improve, then simply search for example "Legato" on the right in "Guitar Lessons", and check out the different lessons : all developing your legato skills ! Look out for difficulty, and start at the easiest lesson, even though you might feel superior. This can let you avoid having holes in your guitar-technique, and it's always best to be on the safe side ! As you master the lesson and techniques, just continue looking at your search results and find a lesson with one more difficulty level...

Have fun,

Alexander biggrin.gif
