Hello folks, probably another "Phil special" problem rolleyes.gif

In GuitarPro 7.5, whenever I click "play" and I have the count in enabled, I get a double metronome click just for the first beat, one right after the other. It's getting on my tits. Any ideas about how to stop it?

Thanks

Phil

it's not doing the double for me. It's accenting one beat but that's all? Did you try updating the app?

Yup. Switched on. Hmm. Can you shoot a little video with your phone and post it to youtube so I can see it? I'm baffled at this point.

Have you tried reinstalling the program? That's really all I can suggest. I don't have that issue, however. Or perhaps it's something to do with audio settings? Have you tried changing settings in Audio Settings in GP7.5?

A reinstall can often sort many things, if something has gone wrong with an update or installation in the first place. Don't be a silly goose biggrin.gif

That is just bizarre. One thing to try, set your audio device to the internal sound card on your computer. Reboot. Put headphones in the headphone jack and see if you still hear it. it could be an audio artifact. That's all I can think of. If you still hear it, then you gotta try the reinstall and hopefully that sorts it.

Thanks Todd I'll try that but it's been doing it for a couple of weeks on any GP file. I would have thought that if it was an artifact it would go away on shutdown, I might be wrong on that.

It's very strange though eh?

Cheers

UPDATE:

It's the same on the internal sound card. Looks like a re-install, grrrrrrrrrrr, it beat me sad.gif

egad. You may have to reinstall and skip the update just to stop the glitch.

I actually get it too. Just never used that function. I primarily use Guitar Pro for writing stuff and notating my own riffs, and I have not had to use the count-in function during the most recent update. Well, I guess it's something to let them know smile.gif

Having worked in I.T. i can say from experience that updates are something to be taken with great care. Updating for the sake of it can lead to more problems than it solves. I've seen it tons of times. Every time there is a update for my OS or software, I usually give it a week or two to let other folks run in to the issues and read about it online. Usually vendors patch updates once the bugs are known. So lagging with the previous version of whatever I"m running, unless I have an urgent reason to update, is something I brought with me from time in the field. I'm sure they will patch this glitch as soon as they can. Sorry you are having to deal with it. If you reinstall the old version it should go away.

Yeah version 7 is fine as downloaded it's just the update, it's not really a major issue it's just if you have countdown on and are long one tricky bar it can be a ball ache.
