Ok, so i was going to play 2 songs for my gig:

Im Alright - Neil Zaza
Cryin - Joe Satriani

And now i just get to play 1.. dry.gif . and i cant choose wich. The gig is on valentines day and i have no idea what to play! (must be one of those)

I like cryin because its very emotional but its kinda melancholic, and i dont know if it would be appropiate for Valentine's Day.

Now Im Alright, is very happy sounding, but it doesent have that "love" topic about it imo.. (i dont know how to explain this, but i think you understand).

What would you think i should play? Please state why. Im trying to analizde my situation sad.gif

In case you havent listened to the songs, here they are:

Cryin - Joe Satriani

I'm Alright - Neil Zaza

Please DO NOT vote if you havent listened to BOTH songs. Thank you.

Just kidding, but I voted Neil Zaza, for some reason, I just can't stand Joe Satch.

Thanks for voting, its not a party, its um, like a "talent show" but its not really that. Its like a civic morning, we talk about valentines, we have presentations from various students, we have speeches, and the whole highschool is sitting and watching.

Look it's really simple - if it's a party than you want to make it a boom - than go for Zaza. Also - Crying is really difficult to play to sound right because of all the nasty bends in the song. I vote for Zaza.

"Fact is, nothing in the world bores me more than gear...If I played thru your rig, I would still sound like me. Van Halen would sound like Van Halen. Brian May...etc. Very early in my career I decided to focus on creating music and not being a guitar tech. Being a good guitar tech is a very different and extremely difficult job, so why not leave it to a pro?"

Why Satch? Just because it's Satch? That "I'm Alright" song sounds really good to me for an occasion like that smile.gif

Satch, Definitely Satch smile.gif Not sayin' that "I'm Alright" isn't a good song or anything, it's just that Cryin' suites more better to that particular day smile.gif
