Santana and Hendrix, among others have some favorites as well. I guess my favorite could change on any given day or at any given moment depending on the mood at the time etc. One favorite solo that comes to mind at the moment comes from Frank Zappa. There is a bit of colorful language at the intro from the Cenral Scrutinizer so be warned. Solo starts at 1:21 and continues throughout the rest of the song.
