GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Updating Pickups?

i'm be like to update probaly pickups to somethning like Seymour duncan Sh6 to bridge and maybe some Jazz seymour to neck..actualy i'm wanna do that specialy becouse with my Esp Viper 50 i'm have somethime specialy when i'm do vibrato ot hammer lot of squeky sound..specialy{most on Hi-E and B string}..i'm allready update my beginer Marshall mg15cd to Vow.vt30w-xl..

do you thing change those pickups is good move and can those new pickups avoid the bad sound????
and actualy i'ts hard to change those pickups by my self???

I don't know what the squeky sound is, I know you mentioned it before. But either way, new pickups will bring new life to a guitar.

Try adding new quality strings while you're perfoming guitar surgery
And clean and oil the fretboard aswell.

Edit: Just make sure the pickups match I mean, you'd not want a vintage distortion in the bridge and a dark nu metal in the neck f.ex. I don't know the sh-6 by heart but the Jazz is a fine rock pu. Check the homepage for suggestions.

Changing pups is a way to go if you're guitar cost more money that the pickups itself. IMO there's no real benefit in changing the pickups that cost as much as a guitar because the cost/benefit ratio is relatively small. But if your guitar is good then yes I think that is a wise choise - why not. The sustaining of the notes will be much smoother and leveled, more concrete sound on distortion too.

ok if i'm understand that there is not mutch recomendations to put ok pickups to cheap quitar
i'm know i'm talk about this before but i'm still unhapy person {but somethime thats is good }
i'm have to records what i'm mean{the sound} maybe thats normal..usualy the sound is coming out more when i'm use more distorsions settings.....{specialy longer vibrato}..i'm trying to learn now Trond Rock solo and there is lot of vibrato

i'm realy plane to buy better quitar soon..but i'm wana know play something well before i'm do that..becouse then i'm be can check on store the diferent betwet my viper and possibility new stuff

Available for both neck and bridge positions.{sh-6} Often a Distortion bridge is paired with an SH-2n Jazz Model in the neck for good clean tones and versatility.

if you change the pickups i think it be will much better also you can try EMG activate

Well Besip it is your decision, please don't let my advice stop you from buying pickups. The fact is that those pickups are good, and not costing like a whole guitar is a good thing. If you want to replace the pickups you will get better sound for sure. I know people who have put SD Jazz/JB combos in cheap guitars and it sounded much better with them.

It is just my opinion that these pickups are to be put on a guitar that costs above 700-800e in order to unleash their full potential that's all.

I put the JB/Jazz in a bit more expensive guitar and they sound amazing.

They do that's the truth. THe sustain is more even and prolongued and the quality of the tone is excellent. You can hear every note ringing even on hi gain.

The pickups are definitely good ones and I am sure your guitar would benefit from them, still I am not really sure if this sound that you try to get rid oof is caused by your pickups or by a wrong technique when you use your vibrato.
