Hi Marcus,

Since a while i'm having some fun with your "Evening Blues" lesson. I'm recording myself from time to time to listen to some details ... and mostly i'm back on earth very quickly smile.gif

One week ago i did my latest take and i wanted to ask if you have some ideas of improvement.
This arpeggio up to the 21. fret is mostly ending somewhere else, so the chance to add a vibrato is kind of hopeless by now .. but i'm working on it.

Thanks

Wow!! Man, i'm really impressed biggrin.gif
I think you did a great job all the way through the song! And I really like the attitude in your playing! biggrin.gif

As for improvements;
Over all I think you have good control over the tone, but some of the bends go a little bit out of tune (sharp). Some of the are spot on though, so I don't think it'll be too much effort to nail the sharp ones smile.gif

Second thing I'd like to comment is that the tapping part is a bit sloppy. I know that it's a tricky part and it does take some time to master. So give it some more time, and of course practice slow and articulate.

Again, I must say you've done a great job! And I feel honored you play this solo smile.gif

Btw, I must ask about your awesome guitar. What kind is it? custom?! It looks and sound great!!

Thanks for you comments, it was really helping me ... great.

Bends, yes .. the bends are sometime out of tune. Especially the long bend on the A String ... i always arrive with pinky there and he is suffering wink.gif
I'm a kind of forced to play with headphones at the moment and i really have a problem to hear things correctly like this ... definitely something i have to change.

Tapping i have to work on for sure. It's not something i do really often, but what i really like in your lessons. I'm working on your 3-Level solo as well and the tapping and faster alt picking parts are my main problems.

smile.gif ... what do you mean with attitude?

This "awesome" guitar i bought years ago for maybe 20 EUR. It is a no name guitar. I worked of the body and the neck as everything was to big and to much corners. All the electronic was just cheap, so i removed everything. I have had a spare humbacker which i connected to the output directly. But a few weeks ago, seeing your lessons, i thought a volume and another pickup in the neck position does make sense smile.gif .. so i gave this guitar an update. I was always liking the shape of the neck after my modifications and i always come back to this one. I have an ibanez as well, but i don't use it a lot. Something i have to change is the tremolo, i think. I don't manage to adjust it ... it always sounds a little bit out of tune on the hight frets. Do you have any advise?

You can find some picture on my gallery, but i will add some if you like.

Thanks again ...
