Does that really help anything? it must, but what? Is there a noticeable difference? Herman Li mentions it in the video below at 2:48. Is it only because the trem was modified?

On my PRS C24, I used to think it had built in reverb or something
 until I put felt under and around the trem springs. Fixed the problem right away.

I had the same problem years ago with my Jem 777, but i put a little sponge under the strings and solved the problem

It's a good idea... I had a similar problem in my Ibanez Rg 520. It's curious the modification done to use his right hand to pick up his guitar when he is playing in the higher frets.. this means that he can only do legatos when he is using it... doesn't he?

I wonder if I should try putting something in my RG. But you would think if it needed something the factory would have done it?

If you needed it, you would know. It usually only occurs with higher quality instruments, and no, the factory would not add it.
