Eh, I completely forgot about Jason Becker! And Marty Friedman for that matter.

Anyways: Jerry Cantrell was one of the first guitarists I was really in awe of - I used to think he was an amazing guitarist. He still is - for his genre, no doubt about it.

i just discovered this guys stuff a bit ago.. two favorite songs are Cactus and I can't play the Blues

My favorite guitarist is Gus G.. his stuff in Firewind and Dream Evil blows my mind, not because its overly difficult or technical but because imo that is metal, his rythem riffs and his solos can only be described as metal
