dumbest quote happened today, I was sitting in class listening to The Black Dahlia Murder's "Everything Went Black", and this chick asked me what i was listening to, so i told her, then she asked if she could listen, i warned her, then handed her the head phones. Of course the vocals scared her, then the solo came in, and she said "Whats That Instrument?"

I was like

"Uh...Thats a guitar, this is the guitar solo"

To which her response was....

"Whats a guitar solo?"

.....


WTF?!?!??!??!?

I'm a pretty big metal fan, but I have absolutely no expectation for my ladies to enjoy it, absolutely none. As for Star Wars, eh, have you been to any type of SciFi/Comic Con? There are SOME cuties, but usually that's not the case. I did manage to snag this freaking sweet Thunder Cats T Shirt at Dragon Con this past year, which is pretty awesome, but DC was definitely not a place I'd consider going trying to meet women, but that's not to say there aren't those that do. I just didn't go the whole hotel/weekend pass route.

EDIT: and if all of your hobbies are shared hobbies, then you will have no "you" time since you're all into the same stuff. I like to use metal and guitars as an excuse to get away when I need to and that option evaporates if she's into it too

I would like to meet someone who doesnt have to like metal, but preferably a musician
