I didn't realize that I had this in common with Mr. Mansoor I too started out playing drums at a very young age. My folks bought me a drum kit at 12, they didn't get my a guitar until I was 14. In this vid, Misha talks about his folks getting him drums after his Bar Mitzva (Jewish traditional party sort of thing when a boy becomes a man at 13 years).
I must say I am very glad to have had some experience in drumming as it really informed my playing guitar. Understanding rythm is key IMHO. The rest of the lads talk about their coming of age on guitar as well!
