Was wondering about your setting on your amp and any effects you might be using on this lesson. I have a couple of presets that come close. Like my Brian May preset has just about the right tone but its a little to distorted. Was wondering how you achieved the tone and sustain without the distortion.
Sorry the topic should have been Classic Ballad Bending not Classic Rock Ballad Bending Also I turned the gain way down on my Brian May preset and it is pretty close now. But I would still be interested in what you are using. Hey my friend!
I used Guitar Rig 3 on this one, but instead of distortion pedal in GR3 I used my OCD stompbox to boost the VOX amp in GR3. However similar effects can be achived using the preset I used and putting ProRat emulation in front. I can send you the preset if you want, or give you exact specification of the components. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

You can send me the preset if that would be easier because I was thinking about getting GR3. Would you recommend it? Or if given the chance would you get something different if you could make the choice again? -------------------- My Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/user/FingerSpasm?feature=mhum

Well I use GR3 presets for fusion-type presets mostly, and use several other plugs as well, Vintage Amp Room and Amplitube Fender. They are all good for certain things.
But if you are getting one, I would choose GR3, since it is the most flexible and offers the most modelings out of three. The presets are not that great out of the box, you have to tweak it a lot to make it sound good, and you need good audio interface ofc. Here's the preset, but I suggest tweaking it a bit to achieve a good tone with your gear and speakers mate. Let me know if you need more help, I'll be glad to assist you. cheers, Ivan -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

I used the EQ on the VOX flat out, used SM57 mic model, regular Vox cab model in GR3, and EQed the track a bit in Nuendo. The track has increased hi mid response. Everything else is cut out to remove the buzzing. Low end is gone, and high end is gone as well. The whole guitar sound is somewhere between 500Hz-2KHz
