GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Ben Higgins: New Instructor
Posted by: Kristofer Dahl Jun 3 2010, 06:54 PM
It is my great please to present Ben, guitarist from the UK.
Ben has fanastic vibrato and chops - you can get a good impression of him by checking out his http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/instructor/Ben-Higgins/ and video. Stay tuned for his first lesson where he will give insights into his vibrato!
Ben I must ask - I sense some Marty in your paying, and I read you have been inspired by him. What is you favorite Marty stuff? My personal favorites are his solos on rust in peace and his solo album scenes.

Loving Marty myself, I'm glad to see people influenced by him

Mr. Higgins! I percieve that you will be my next hero here based on the feel you put into your bends, even amidst some fast licks! Looking forward to learning from you!

Kris, thank you so much for introducing me to everybody here.. I can't wait to get to know you all and share our wisdom, knowledge (and humour) together !
Yes, I'm very pleased that you can hear Marty's infuence in my playing. Wow, that's actually quite a tough question... his work with Jason Becker was mindblowing but my personal favourite solo of his is actually on a song called Captive Honour, from Megadeth's Countdown to Extinction album. His work on this and the following album, Youthanasia has to be some of his most melodic and soulful to my ear...!
