Hello guys! How are you?
I would like to invite you to apply the concepts of my last Vchat sessions in a very simple but cool collab. The idea is that each of us download one of the following drum loop and create a riff in E (minor, major, harmonic minor, Phrygian, Phrygian Major, pentatonic, etc) using the concepts, scales and modes that Metal Guru explained in his Thrash Metal style Vchat session.
Choose one of these two loops:
Drum_Loop_1.mp3 ( 522K )
: 290
Drum_Loop_2.mp3 ( 574K )
: 272
In the first session, Metal Guru escribed how you can build all the scales more use in Thrash Metal, and how there are used combining single string an power chords to create riffs. In the second session he talked about the rhythms and techniques used in Thrash.
Here you can check the lesson notes and replay the sessions:

Please post here 2 files, an audio file with the mix of your drum loop and your guitar and another one just with your guitar to let me mix it.
Who is in??
Will try my best the band and I are trying to get a gig or two in the coming week, so I will try my best to submit
Great idea Gabe! What better way to apply the concepts you guys have talked about then a collab?
yeah! Who will break the ice and record the first riff for this one?
I made two!
the first one is just a fast arpeggiated chromatic development based on Em7 on the low E and A strings back up with a rhythmically split variation on the same notes (with the exception of the root) in the lead. The second riff is the riff I made during our last video chat based off of the blues scale.
I probably wont be able to make the chats but I'll try to keep up with the replays.
I went for the slower drum loop hope it's okay.

Hey guys! I'll be on vacation this week but there is more room to join this one so I hope to find more riffs when I'm back!!
This is shaping up to be pretty cool. I love hearing the differences in the sounds of people's guitars and gear! It really makes me want to experiment more with my tone. I really like how you merged Caels riffs too, it made it sounds really deep.
