That's a Conklin guitar! Rusty Cooley also has a custom made Conklin 8-string! In my opinion 7 strings are more than enough unless you want to be a one-man-band playing both bass and lead!

Ibanez now has a Ibanez RG2228 - it's a 8-string that is sold in every Ibanez-selling store! Until now 8-strings were only custom made - but this RG is a serial guitar! Costs around 1400$! smile.gif

Btw. CONKLIN is a VERY EXPENSIVE brand and they only do custom works!

Well, it is bigger than 6-strings, more wood to build it, 8-string bridge, also 8-string EMG pick-ups. I don't think that's a big price to pay for 8-string at all! Because if you go for custom Conklin you will pay 4000$ at least. I was once interested in Conklin but when i saw the price list i am not interested any more! smile.gif
