GMC Forum _ Practicing (Muris) _ Ear Training

Posted by: Zizi Top Oct 31 2008, 03:40 PM

I've just heard your take on Emir's new rock collab, when I heard it, I was astonished, it was so great, I wanted to learn it but I got no tabs !!
So that's how I decided to make of your take an ear training and here's what I got ...

 muris.mp3 ( 344.62K ) : 480

I did only half of the music, I think that you're continuing those sweep series following the chords ..

Anyway great take Muris, it gave me lots of motivation to do this ear training and also inspiration ... thanks again.

Keep on rockin'.

That was damn close Zizi, well done!! smile.gif

Do you mind asking me how long have you been playing?

Posted by: Zizi Top Oct 31 2008, 03:45 PM

I've been playing for about a little less than 5 years now, but as for your solo I must admit that I've been helped by the fact the I knew the chord progression so it didn't take me too much time to find out what I've played, even if some notes I still don't know how you make them ... specially those that are "crying" , are you using your whammy bar, or just artificial harmonics ??

I didn't used whammy bar but there are few pinched harmonics
if that is what you mean?

That was good job for 5 years experience, keep it up!

Oh,and one more thing, there is not sweeping there at all,
part you were talking about it just 2 hand tapping. smile.gif

Oh okay, actually I did it with sweeping than tapping at the end of the sweep ... Anyway I just love what you do, hope to be like you one day smile.gif
