I find a good thing to do in these situations is to learn a completely different kind of run, lick or lesson that gets you away from what you normally play.

You need to find something that feels fun to do.....
Maybe learn a song, try a new style etc......just something that will increase our interest. You got to have fun while practising -------------------- My Gear

When you stuck with something it's usually either because you lack theory knowledge to understand and apply what you practiced or you just reached a point where current practice sessions are not longer interesting to you, or combination of both even. Could be other reasons, but if some of these are the case, try to escape from your regular routine and apply "little and often" approach, where you set long term goals, and short term goals. If you've done lots of technical exercises, it may be a good idea to now begin doing some things for fun, like analyzing chords and working a way how to actually implement the stuff you practiced in some real life situation. Make a challenge for yourself, record a backing of some random chords that sound nice, then analyze and see what notes are in the chords, and how you can make a nice solo over it, but accenting the strong notes for example". Then rehearse the solo and record it, see what are the weak points, what are the strong points. You can also record yourself improvising and see what are your biggest weaknesses - if you cannot play something precise enough - it's probably time to start practicing that instead of what you've been doing so far. Also taking a break sometimes helps a lot to settle all those information and break a plateau. Then the circle of practice starts all over again but on a higher level.
