The most boring but beneficial hand synchronization exercise by Kiko Loureiro. I particularly like what he does at 1:50.

I watched this whole show last night. When I was younger I was a huge GnR fan. I guess Ariel Kamin, formerly of the Argentinian GnR tribute band Son of a Gun, has been with Adler's Appetite for a few years. This guy does Axl better than Axl ?. I was really impressed with this show to be honest. If you were ever into Guns N Roses check it out.

Two lessons which I've been going over have cast a huge spotlight on my weaknesses in playing. They are Hand Synch and Ben's Land of Legato. I have a feeling that these lessons and their subsequent parts will have a huge impact on one's ability. I imagine a lot of people would vouch for their effectiveness. I'm gonna grind these out for the next while. The legato in particular requires a lot of hand strength and I'm hoping I'll be able to get there.

Original lesson: Neoclassical Sweeping & Legato by Gabriel Leopardi

Here is my second take for Neoclassical sweeping & Legato. This definitely won't be my final take as I know my timing is still off. I think I'm ahead of the beat during the beginning sweeps and I rush into the final A power chord at the end. I figured I'd post this take for a bit more advice. Sweeping at a moderate speed like this is much more difficult than I thought. It seems so much easier to go slow or fast. Thanks again guys for having a listen. After I get some feedback I'll get started on a tighter, cleaner

A couple months ago I was playing this Ibanez signature model (KIKO10BP) at our local music shop and I really liked it. My wife and son stopped in while I was playing it after they did some shopping. Apparently they hatched a plan to get it for me for Father's Day. I was super surprised when my 8 year old son walked in with it.

It plays really really nice and so far seems like a fairly flawless build. It's an Indo but a Premium. I'm a big Kiko Loureiro fan but that isn't what drew me to this axe. I liked the feel of the "slightly" thicker neck. It's definitely a noticeable difference with my Jem Jr all around. For some reason I can never take good guitar pics. Anyway, here it is:
