Using A Wah Wah Pedal

I was wondering how many people sometimes use the wah wah pedal in a fixed position to find a guitars tonal sweet spot rather than moving it up down..I know Hendrix and Zappa apparently did this and even I have done it...it becomes sort of addictive.I use to think I was misusing it...but I know there are no rules. smile.gif
