> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Gilbert Inspired #3 - Gilbertian Arpeggios by Zsolt Galambos

I've been practicing this one on and off for a couple weeks trying to get my sweeping cleaner. I should mention that I didn't tune down to D and just played it a whole step down on fret board. Also, the only downloadable track is slower than what Zsolt has. No big deal I guess. Thank you for watching!

You did a good effort, but need more time with those arpeggios for sure! When you are playing sweep the idea is to have all the notes to sound clear! Practice it at a slow tempo with a metronome and you will get results! It will take a lot of time to master though! I will give you 7 for this one because it is a hard lesson! But I highly recommend you to keep working on it!

Hey DeGroot! This lesson is all about perfectly syncing the hands and you started off in a good direction, but there's still much work to do. As Alex said, you need to put more metronome practice in this one! The good thing is - I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT biggrin.gif

Show me watcha got!

Hey DG !

It's a good attempt on this one.. if you can get the missing notes sounding (especially on the A string, they're getting lost) it will sound the business then ! smile.gif

P.S. I'm not 100% sure on this one but if the backing track is not the same tempo as the original I don't think we're allowed to give top scores ???

I know it's only 5bpm difference and it's the only one available.. maybe it won't matter !
