Hi,

Just a quick question. Is it possible to watch the lessons without using flash, e.g using html5 video tag? Does GMC support this and if so how can I use it using firefox.

Thanks and cheers
Peter

Hi Peter,

We used to have a way of doing this for troubleshooting purposes (the solution is still in beta) however it seems it has now stopped working, probably since we switched to https. I have checked with our developer and will let you know if there is a solution for this.

On a sidenote improving mobile support is out top priority, but it requires quite some rebuilding, hence the delay.

We have temporarily enabled the html5 player for firefox. I'd be interested in hearing your opinion about this player!

Update: You need to add this query string to test the html5 player on firefox (desktop): ?use_html5player

So as an example - if you want to try it, open this URL with firefox:

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/30-Mis...use_html5player
(NB The player will not work for other browsers)

I wish there was some kind of calibration between. at the moment there is a contrast difference between flash and html5. For video editors it's a huge disadvantage. We simply have to struggle with on which one we would like our vide to have proper contrast...

You're describing a general flash vs html5 problem if I got you right? Or is this specific to the GMC html5 player?
