Hi, i thought maybe i should make a thread about the king of surf guitar Dick Dale I think he and surf-rock deserves a bit more attention from todays society, he is one of the hidden treasures of rock music and heres a clip of him and SRV:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWw55XhTehg Both great legends, and by watching this you can see how his music has influenced one of the greatest guitarists of all time SRV He is one of the few rock guitarists who brought in eastern scales into his music, my personal opinion is that it gives the music a spicy flavor. Ive found an article about him on Fenders homepage, its said that Leo Fender sought guidance with Dick Dale when he needed new ideas for guitars.(EDIT: Dick Dale uses 65 twin custom 15 amps) In his days of glory he experimented with Reverb and made a custom 100W amp.(A final word for you Wiki writers: maybe you can make an article about Dick Dale, if it hasnt been made already?

Yeah Dick Dale is amazing, underrated guitarist for sure. Gary Hoey does really good covers of his songs too.

I've seen him live some years ago. That was allot of fun. He recently struggles with skin cancer and didn't perform for quite a while. Hope he gets well soon.
