The Hives Sound

Okay, this is a noob question, because I couldn't manage it for myself, but I'll post it though. biggrin.gif

Does anyone know how to get that typical "Hives-Sound"? Just using less Gain didn't work for me and now I'm kinda confused. huh.gif

I would try working with your EQ. Filter out lows and extreme highs to get a lo-fi sound.

I watched them live, I think they use telecaster guitars and crunchy Vox amps. Not sure about amps tho.
