So I finally got around to replacing my old M Audio Fast Track Pro with a broken headphone socket.

I bought the Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2nd Gen and I was just expecting a working headphone jack to be the main difference between the two, but Holy Crap there is a huge difference in audio quality, so much more clarity. I've never heard the differences in those mixing videos when they bypass some eq tweaks and I think it was my crappy interface and not my ears at fault!!!!

Congrats, I've got the 1st gen 18i8 and I love it. Be sure to use the Scarlett control though. Especially if you're wanting to record stereo wink.gif

Success is not obtained overnight. It comes in instalments; you get a little bit today, a little bit tomorrow until the whole package is given out. The day you procrastinate, you lose that day's success.

Congrats! That's a nice interface with quality bits inside which makes all the difference. The Fast Track is a great way to get started in recording without breaking the bank but the the Focusrite is just a far superior unit all around IMHO and not crazy pricey. Fine choice smile.gif
