Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Very cool!

Since you are doing so good, I won't comment again that you need to keep working on your timing and vibrato. You have probably heard us say that a lot by now.

* I would like to see you experiment with your right hand, and see if you can get a little more loose with the wrist. You currently have a very consistent right movement - which is excellent - so don't change that. But having more wrist control will allow you to throw in a little bit more power in those downstrokes - giving you better tone and attack.

* For fun you could try to record a REC take where you totally groove away as if you were playing a rock show. It might seem silly but it can do miracles to timing and feeling/expression. It's like the best shortcut to pro playing ever!

Keep up the fantastic work, you get an 8 from me!

Playing a "shuffle" type beat is something that one can either do or not and you can clearly do it. Playing this type of music requires a sense of groove. You clearly have it. Without a solid groove/vibe, the music ends up sounding sterile and lifeless. You do not have any problems in that area at all. I can feel the groove coming off your track and I like it. Your vibrato sometimes does seem a bit tepid/shallow so I would say dig in a pinch more on your vibrato, start small, increase and then let go. Just needs a bit more muscle behind it. Well done!

Hi Nico!

Good sound and playing here!! I think that Kris comment about your right hand is very precise and it's what I think you need to have in mind during the next days of practice. I would experiment with it, and also with some more body movement (following the groove) to see if you can make this sounds groovier and with more dynamics.

Other than, that, this very good! Keep the great job.

Hey there again!

Not much to complain here. Tone match is descent - warm and sort of "loosen". You managed to play clean - at least as we speak of controling unwanted noises. Your picking is tonally even, which is another plus for you.

I would like to join Kirs and Gab in their "righ hand" campaign. There is some hidden power in the wrist motion that is not being use by you. There is too much happening from the forearm only. This makes me concerned becasue I feel like it will work only to some point, and to cross it, you will still need to involve the wrist. The sooner you do this, the less pain it will be, once it become necessary.
