Hey, so I've been getting into mixing lately and running into a lot of awesome vst's and programs, but the only problem is... There not free... If your like me, then you don't really have money to spend on equipment all the time. So that's why I'm looking for some free vst's for mixing such as compression, eq, high pass filter (I WANT THIS ONE THE MOST), etc. I've post some VST's that I've found on the web below. Check them out and post a download link to some that you think are helpful, especially the high pass filter, I really want a good/easy to use one!
Also, can you be soo kind to list the order in which you guys apply vst effects when your mixing/mastering? I'm just curious. FREE MIXING VST's: 90 free mixing vst's http://freemusicsoftware.org/category/free...ffects-2/filter http://www.gersic.com/plugins/index.php?se...it&action=1 DON'T FORGET to share and post download links to your favorite mixing/mastering VST plugins. And, also, list the order in wihich you apply vst effects when your mixing/mastering... Thanks would really appreciate it... Have a nice day -Isiah Drew -------------------- Follow me on Twitter

Hi mate! The mixing & mastering world is amazing! I mostly use Waves plug ins, I like their API series for EQ and Compression but also SSL and VE series are good. PSP vintage warmer and Waves maximizers are very good for mastering.

You shouldn't delete them even if you don't want want others to hear them. You should keep them and a few weeks/months after you did them listen to them again. Very often people need some time between recordng/mixing and being able to critically listen to their own work in order to begin to 'see the wood from the trees'.
Just to add that most daws come with an awful lot of vsts some of which are pretty good. If you use Reaper try the Stillwell ones. Most (probably all) mixing daws will also have a HPF on the channel strip. -------------------- Get your music professionally mastered by anl AES registered Mastering Engineer. It's awesome how much your thought change from a mix when you give it some days.. even more when you are doing your first mixes. -------------------- My lessons
