EMG has had something like this for a while, but its nice to see someone else has created something similar for passive pickups. The name is kind of funny though, it reminds me of one those adult toys you find in the back of a guy magazine like FHM or Maxim

Love the idea! Very very useful! I don't know why changing pickups has to be so complicated.

Pretty cool and yes it's about time. I"m still looking forward to the day when pickups are so modular that you can pop them out like lego bricks and just swap the pickup unit only. This would of course require pickups to use the same backing/pinout. Todd There actually is such a guitar that has been around for ages, its called the Ampeg AMG100. The pickups on the guitar just slide in and out via a groove cut out on the face of the guitar. The only problem is the pickups are proprietary, and this is probably why this design has never taken off. Check it out here: Review of Ampeg AMG100 Reissue in Premier Guitar Magazine -------------------- He who laughs last thinks slowest. I don't like this solution, it's too complicated. It's a good transitional solution, but I think they could invent something like a universal SD platform for their pickups, and you can just slide the pickups in from above the strings (have to loosen the strings a bit, but it's way better than unscrewing everything. It think this would be a great solution, but this, not that sure..
