Hey guys - it's been a while since I've been around, I've been really busy finishing school. I've been working on a project that I think many of you may find interesting.

I posted previously here http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=41082 many months ago, and I've recently recorded a demo video of my work in action.

It is focused on analyzing guitar notes as they are played in real-time - detecting both individual notes and chords. It's not perfect, and you have to play relatively slow for it to be most accurate - also there is still a lot of work needed to be done before I can release to the public for testing purposes.

Questions and comments are welcome! Thanks for watching..

What programming language did you use for this?

Thanks!

It's written in Processing (www.processing.org) which is basically a simplified version of Java that makes it really easy to draw stuff to the screen. It's also possible to export the program as a web applet so it can run in the browser. Sometime down the road I'd also like to make it work on mobile devices as well, since Android is also based on Java.
