Hi guys ,
I hope you will join me on a new audio "FanaticCollab". Why Fanatic ? I will tell you that at the end :
Fanatic_collab.mp3 ( 1.26MB )
: 331
G minor progression, with the change of harmonic key to A minor (at 00:20) ! Classical pentatonic minor improvisation !
Good opportunity to work out G minor pentatonic scale and then changing to A minor pentatonic.
Conditions are the same as same as the previous collabs :
One take with a backing, and one solo take- just your guitar
Deadline: 15.March.'12 !
Sounds great! I'm definitely in on this one!
I'll join you on this one as well Great backing, for some great solos!
I'm in!
LOVE the backing track Sinisa!! Also, although vid collabs are super cool, I'm still a noob with my interface and haven't sync'd audio with vid yet. In fact, that's why I just missed the deadline on a recent collab. So it will be great be part of an audio-only collab. I'll submit my run in the next few days.
Love the track, and can't wait to throw down some tasty grooves on it!
Hi Sinisa! Here is my shot! I went through a couple versions to get one that I was happy with. I uploaded through Sound Cloud as its the only way I know how. It should be downloadable through the arrow icon on the far right after the track. I hope this works for you! Thanks, Joe

Wow ,sounds really fanatic ! Great job ,Joe ,thanks
Hi sinisa!
New guy here, but I'll give it a shot!
Thought I had more time on the deadline. Heading out for practice and ripped this awful sloppy run in 10 mins. I'll do a better one, with guitar only, hopefully tonight when I get back. Thought I had more time. Tick, tick, tick....
Hey sinia,
Here's my take. A bit rushed, but I didn't realize the deadline was so soon
C.
Ok....I'm a recording noob, and that post/take didn't record correctly. I recorded a new one right now, when I got home from practice.....but it's not the best. Starts off pretty sloppy, and tightens up near the end. A few decent ideas, but awful timing and sloppy technique. These tracks work...I tested them!
Thanks for the awesome backing track Sinisa! I really dig this one, and wish I had been able to put more than 15 mins into it! Sorry...it's a killer collab and deserved more effort.
Hi Sinisa!
I'd like to take part in the collab and have my take almost ready, but need a little bit more time to improve and finish it, and I'm not sure that I'll be able to record it today. Is it ok if I upload my take tomorrow?
It's funny, but I have noticed that in every collab most of the action comes right at or AFTER the deadline! Somthing tells me, the instructors are used to us running on "musician time"!
Here's my take.
Thanks Nim,great take
@derper
Ok guys ,here's a Fanatic Final Mix, and my comments !!

1. Derper

3. Cassien
4. Nimradir

Fantastic intro, totally surprising! I wish you only continued in this style. You have a sense of timing but here somehow you tried to do something with short tones connected in the phrase, something in the ZZ Top style , but they're not exactly connected on the best way. Tones at times sounds great, but at times are very lazy and simply overlapping. You have to do the synchronization of both hands, it will help youa lot in further work. The second part is much better and more meaningful, bravo !!
DeGrot 00:41 - 01:17
Great take ! I will not comment that much your take because you did a good job. I would just say that you have excellent timing, phrasing is also nicely done, especially the second part with two guitars, great, I got the impression that can hear Allman Brothers Band !!
Keep rocking !
Cassien 01:18 - 01:55
Good one ! Your trying to get the best from the blues and pentatonic scales are paid off a partial : well-conceived sections, but still you
haven't a speed necessary for this. Try to practice with a metronome and soon you'll notice a difference in your playing -concrete, fast and clean ! You had a few quick phrases, clean, energetic, but each time - the timing problem ! Think about it Good job !
Nimradir 01:56 - 02:32
Another excellent shot ! I like your style, very promising, Nimra-man ! All the elements speak for themselves -bends/vibrato/the timing ,phrasing.. The second part is fantastic, well balanced, without any pointless thing, really excellent ! Congrats
Thanks again guys, it was a pleasure to hear your playing !
Any feedback ?!
ps
Tomorrow you can expect really interesting NEW collab, join me again !
I hate to admit it, but I jumped on at the end of the deadline and hit this one after band practice (and a few too many beers... ) and didn't give it enough time. Though it was "something", I'm ultimately ashamed of the horrid timing, unclear/sloppy notes, and overall "aimlessness" of the whole run. Especially when compared to the other takes.
But, GMC is a learning experience.... I learned to STEP IT UP on my next collab, and make sure to give it some solid effort and actually write something, as opposed to a sloppy "beer run".
And to everyone else....AWESOME job!! You all really ripped some great, inspired, and polished runs!!
Thanks Sinisa for the comments and the fanatic track to jam with!
I enjoyed hearing everyones take! Well done!
