Like his voice much better!
In a way I´m also +1 to Zakk´s reply but I really, really like the album "Balance" - the first song is fantastic:

I have some fondness, mostly from nostalgia, of both bands named "van halen" but I never felt very strongly about them as a group. I did consider them to be two entirely distinct bands that just happened to have the same name, and 75% of the same members. Very different after the split with roth.

EVH is a great guitar player, but his music never did anything for me. Sorry Eddie!

Of course Eddie is a great player, just that this alone never was enough to attract me to a band, I have always been COMPLETELY immune to the Malmsteen virus for example. And I agree, also old Van Halen have some cool songs, Hot for teachers for example, still I never really followed them much, only when Hagar joined and I saw a video on MTV I got more curious cause I liked his voice much better.

I like some of the old songs, but I've never followed them really.

Regarding Malmsten, I love his concerto album, but never listen to any other album.

I never really listened to Van Halen as well, but some of his well known riffs are engraved to my head. Don't know how tho, never listened to actual songs unsure.gif biggrin.gif
