Pain In Bicep, Possibly due to "excessive" guitar playing?

I woke up today and tried to play my guitar but barely could, as my bicep was killing me. It doesn't hurt much if I'm not playing the guitar, but if I am, or I tense it up a bit, it'll feel like someones driving a nail through it from the elbow up.

I've been doing nothing but playing guitar for the last week(literally, I've skipped out on eating at some points), and up until today, thought nothing of it. Maybe I'm tensing my arm up, and this is my cue to realize it, and stop? I never really noticed any tension on my picking hand, so I guess thats why I don't know what it is.

I normally play guitar for an hour or two at max a day.

All of the above are easy reasons why it could be because of playing guitar, but I always play sitting down at home, and rarely exceed 140 BPM due to my play style.

Has anyone else had this issue, and know if it's guitar related?

I have had this problem in the past when I have been lifting weights quite heavly and I have found that just abit of good rest helps. Also what I do is just take it easy and occasionally massage just behind my elbow on the really hard chunk where it connects to the elbow and also right down the bottom of your bicep where it connects to your elbow. also along the edge of the shoulder blade, you should be able to feel abit of a chunk of muscle with a couple of tendons around it so just gently work on the sensetive bit... and remember no pain no gain.

If your muscles are sore and hurting, you should be fine. If it's something else like a tendon, stop immediately and let it heal, even if it takes a couple of days. Muscles breaking down under strain and healing are a natural process, however for your tendons and ligaments it isn't. If you keep playing anyway with damage in one of those areas you could seriously hurt yourself.
