Jun 20 2014, 04:55 PM	GMC:er Posts: 25.297 Joined: 23-December 09 From: Atlanta, Georgia, USA	Hate to be bummer but wanted to share that our beloved family pet (my brother and I took over care when my parents needed a break) seems to have had a stroke and we are taking him to the vet. Always sad when a pet starts down the path to the great Doggy Play Day beyond. He's about 90 in human years but was playing like a pup just yesterday. We are taking him to the vet today. Sounds like he's already lived a full life, with lots of love, so have no regrets and hold onto that. All the best for his recovery or peaceful sleep. So he's 15 years old (90)? That's longer than a normal dogs life span (average 10-13 years), he must of been well looked after. Particles and energy can never be created nor destroy - therefore will always live on, in this lifetime and the next. Memories will always hold true. After the loss we spent more time and he tried to keep himself busy so he could stay away from depression. It seems to work too, saw him today and he looked better. That dog looks great It may not be bad news yet.. we've had 2 dogs have strokes and they've made a good recovery. The one that most recently had one is now back to full health and she's 14. At the time, we made sure they had rest and were undisturbed as much as possible. Make sure their bedding is as comfortable and conducive to good posture as well. So many dogs have bedding that promotes bed posture and leads to stress in their joints and muscle pain. Anything that lets them lie fully out stretched is better than cramped conditions. Their tastes regards food might get a bit more picky as well for a short while. But there is a good chance he can make a recovery so fingers crossed !
