15 Minutes - Warm Up (Imperative for not damaging those super sexy fingers
)
30 minutes - Alternate Picking (Scales and a bit of simple string skipping. Practicing some Dream Theater runs and what not)
30 Minutes - Down Picking ONLY (Get the Metallica riffage on the go to a metronome)
20 Minutes - Sweep Picking (Lots of sweep practice)
20 Minutes - Tapping (Tap Tap Tap)
30 Minutes - Theory (The Good Stuff - Nick's lessons and Andrew's great theory board)
30 Minutes - Improv Recording (Recording over backings to see what I've learnt and to try and incorporate ideas and licks)
1 Hour - Wind Down (I'd be lieing if I said this wasn't a pint or two at the pub)
I'm gonna force myself to stick to this practice plan. It will be scalable also. So if I know I have 4 hours free I will practice more on things and if I only have 2 hours I'll scale times down. What do you guys think? I was inspired by one of Kris' posts on his practicing.
Also any songs, lessons that I can practice as part of the above sections would be awesome and so helpful
