GMC Forum _ Todd Simpson _ Bit Of Sad News. Mom Passed Away Today

My Mom passed away in her sleep last night. She is finally at rest. I can't express the grief I feel at her loss. For those who have lost a parent or loved one, you will know what I"m talking about here. We knew it was coming, it didn't soften the blow.

We are going to be having services and rememberances this weekend with fam/friends so I will need to cancel my SAT VIDEO CHAT just for this weekend. I"ll be back next week ready to embrace music and do what Mom always encouraged me to do, be happy and play Guitar. I love you Mom. I miss you, but you will always be with me.

So sorry for your suffering Todd...By the photo she looks a warm, good and smart woman...
When we are feeling pain is when we understand that we are simple humans and that we should all leave our differences aside and unite our borken selves to create a stronger ''us'': a family
May her spirit guide your thought always and although I don't know her, I am sure that with a son like you, she would always have been proud of you my friend

So sorry for your loss, Todd.

I have lost my Father back in December so I know how you feel man. It's really rough and it is something that will take some time to heal. I know that you knew this was coming so I am sure that you have made the best of the time you have spent with your Mother recently and this is something that will bring some comfort to you I hope as you go through the grieving process. Your mind will become flooded with all the good memories of the time you had with her and family and it will take some time to get through it, but eventually it will get better. Some words that my Uncle Jim said to my brother and I that gave me some comfort were. No one ever really dies as long as folks continue to tell their story.
May the good Lord take a liking to her and Rest in Peace.

Moms are supposed to be there for us when we are hurting. But when they are gone, they are no longer there to call or visit. I lost my Mom in 2012 & it still hurts. The pain hurts & will wane but never go away & that's ok. Laugh, cry & tell stories with your family during this difficult time. I'm sure your Mom would love that.

Over the past five years, you guys have become part of my extended family and I'm very grateful for that It has been much harder than I ever expected losing Mom to cancer and she fought it the entire way. Never complained, and was still doing her best to comfort us, even as she suffered great pain. That was my Mom though. Endlessly giving of herself. My life and my brother/sister fathers lives are her legacy and her story and her compassion and open heartedness will continue through us. She will always be with us in our hearts and thoughts.

and we share our pain.... thats what makes GMC so unique.....

You are correct Part of what makes os such a family here is that we can share what is going on in our lives, good and bad. Here is a vid I made for Mom just cause I was thinking of her. With some of her Art. She was a sculpture artists and LOVED making art

I'm really sorry Todd. My thoughts are with you. I've seen your updates on mom's condition and i guess it was a long fight. I think she's now really freee from all she had to go through. I hope you're holding on....
