Cast My Soul, To The Ocean
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

A yearning I have never known
A feeling I have never felt
I feel drawn to the waters
Away from this earthly, Land-bound hell

Taken advantage of
By all the ones, I thought I loved
Left with no aspirations, No ambitions of my own
I’m left with nothing

Nothing....
Except hope

Rain seems like a beckoning voice
A hand reaching out to help me
Gazing out through the window
A faint light flickers to the beat of my soul

Down the stairs, I descend
Outside the house, I’ve never called home
To the shore, along the pier
I never looked back, Not even once

With one last step
Cast My Soul, To The Ocean

Freedom amongst the churning seas

For English we had to write a poem, and it could be about anything we wanted. I wrote this one, (I had already started anyway), And basically its about how music helped me through a rough time in my life, Specifically, how Nightwish helped through that time. The Ocean/ Sea in this story, is basically symbolic of Nightwish.

I like these ones, because I can feel how closely they relate to you, and express how much music has helped you smile.gif

Well I was in my house when I wrote it laugh.gif

I wrote it though, mainly after finally getting over some rough times, and listening to a lot of Nightwish. Nightwish have a theme of Oceans and Seas, And I've always loved that, So I used the act of me jumping of the pier into the water, To be like resolving the problems.

I had a lot of fun writing it smile.gif
