Hello boys and girls,

For the last couple of days I've been practising my downpicking. I was reaaaally bad at it, but after practising this intro (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sftR2vmeFY8) very slowly and building the tempo I'm getting pretty allright at it biggrin.gif

Do you know any songs that will improve my downpicking?

No songs in particular will help you- but jus practising the technique in general will.

Once you're bored of that song, check out metallica's master of puppets

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEL6_SuQCu8

Its the infamous song that is a must for all downpickers wink.gif

LOL Zakk beat me to it i see biggrin.gif

Downpicking sounds more chunky; it just sounds heavier especially palm muted. It comes from the bigger amount of force you can put into a downward motion...

Marcus lesson "Historical Failure - the Riffs" could be interesting for you and some of Trond's lessons as well .. i like how he always incorporates a few downstrokes in his rhythms.
