I was looking at tabs again and came across this great song by Thin Lizzy:

I would like to try and play it but I'm not sure what it means when the slashes are between numbers.

For example, in the first line of the tab it shows: 8\7. What does this mean?

it just means slide down, like go from fret 8 and slide down to fret 7..........andrew has a theory lesson on this muscial notation and tabs biggrin.gif
